This work, probably executed in 1948 upon his arrival in Paris, is for Zao Wou-Ki some sort of manifesto : the choice of oil paint, the Western themeof the church, the stylization of the trees, the fully saturated  wide coloured areas.

這幅作品是趙無極於1948年到巴黎留學的畫作，也代表他內心的某種宣示，選擇使用油畫及西方教堂為主題，屬寫實作品。

2010 Côte de Nuits-Villages

The Cote de Nuits “terroir” is well known for the purity of its limestone and is widely considered the “home” of Pinot Noir in Burgundy. This wine has particularly fragrant bouquet, with a charming balance of red fruits and warm spices; it is simultaneously powerful, complex and delightfully elegant.13% vol.

1959 is theyear of full abstraction. Beyond a strict representation of the world, objects and signs totally disappear while tempestuous huge massesconfront  each other. Little by little, a new style of painting emerges but palpable tensions still run through it.

1959年開始，畫風呈現抽象的意境，不在出現物體或標誌，新的畫風也成為他往後作品的代表，當時他亦開始簡潔地以完成日期為作品命名。

2010 Rive Droite

This wine is the result of a careful selection of the best parcels from the Rive Droite area in Bordeaux. It is a fresh, well-balanced and very generous wine, with beautiful aromas of strawberry and dried plum. The vines are all more than 30 years old, and the final blend is made of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. 14.5% vol.

Zao Wou-Ki’s recent paintings go on questioning the representation of space. The aplats and colour gradations of the background enhance the relief of the big black stripe in the foreground. The treat­ ment of space but also the plastic treatment of the blacks evidencethe impact of the technique  and dilution of Indian ink.

2010 Rive Gauche

This exceptionally elegant wine is the result of a careful selection of the best parcels from the Haut-Medoc area in Bordeaux. It has a very fragrant bouquet, with wonderful aromas of dried cherries, wild berries and vanilla. The final blend (49% Cabernet sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 12 % Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Franc) subtly delivers a delightful combination of soft tannins and powerful personality. 13% vol.

Saint-Tropez--2007

Recent watercolours evidence the modification of his working manner here, the artist has established a direct link with nature that has become his main source of inspiration, thus creating a very liberated composition, wandering from all rules to keep the sole pleasure of painting and making the colours resound with one another.

2010 Sauvignon Blanc

This special white wine is the result of a careful selection of the best “terroirs” of Sauvignon Blanc from Bordeaux. It reveals exotic aromas of lime and grapefruit, delivering a wonderful richness and perfect balance to the palate. The higher acidity in 2010 provides a lovely freshness, making it immediately attractive. 12% vol.

This “Réserve Spéciale” is a rare combination of many treasures from Burgundy. It delivers lovely aromas of cherry, strawberry and blackcurrant and as it matures, it will develop notes of leather, truffle, fur and game. This wine is powerful and elegant, fresh and full-bodied and ligers in the mouth with a delicious, well built and rounded aftertaste. 13.5% vol.
