世代居於布根地酒鄉Gevrey-Chambertin村，1977年.年僅22歲的Philippe Charlopin接手祖傳1.5公顷葡萄園及酒窖，發展至今已擁有約25公頃且在2006年建立了新酒窖。上世纪80年代，Philippe Charlopin陸續在名村Morey St Denis、Vosne Romanee、Chambolle Musigny與Gevrey Chambertin等地購入頂级和一级地塊，如今已经擁有7個特级園，不論是品质還是聲望皆享有極高的評價，是Gevrey Chambertin酒村中的傑出酒農。另外也向優質農家購買葡萄，如Pernand-Vergelesses及Corton-Charlemagne。
Philippe深信風土和重視藤齡是成就精彩黑皮諾最重要的因素，老藤帶來更多的複雜度跟層次，因此他盡可能的保存老藤並實行低產量，目標設在每公頃35-40百升，(法定產區規定特級園紅 35-37 hl/ha; 一級園紅40-45 hl/ha )。
幸運的Philippe，在Henri Jayer的教導中受益良多，如早期Philippe釀酒使用大量的葡萄梗，但在Jayer的指點下，瞭解了過多的梗只會帶來艱澀的口感，因此在1990年開始幾乎100%去梗釀造(因應年份做微幅調整)，但他依舊嚴厲剃除成熟不全及品質不良的葡萄，上乘健康的果實才是主要關鍵，釀酒沒有什麼其他秘方，他說。
老藤、低產、去梗、減少踩皮、低溫浸泡而不過度萃取，村莊級使用50%新桶，而特級園和Chambertin V.V. 則使用100%新桶，但降低橡木桶烘烤的程度。不換桶，不過濾，輕微澄清，這讓Philippe Charlopin的葡萄酒風格成熟飽滿、單寧迷人圓潤、果味出眾，香氣出彩。酒評雜誌BH直說他們的酒的確做得相當美好，架構嚴謹、集中，擁有相當好的老藤，也擁有相當多的愛好者~!
Philippe Charlopin 2017年份: 比起2016年種植季節複雜困難，霜凍導致一些葡萄園極少產量或甚至生產，白酒也幾乎都沒有生產。2017年開始是一副欣欣向榮的好光景。今年，一切來的都比往年要早一些，冬末的溫和天氣延續進早春，葡萄萌芽早些，白葡萄如常比紅葡萄早一些達到成熟，酒莊從9月6日開始挑選，並帶來了慷慨的收益。 2017s相當隨和，合宜的力量感、純淨令人耳目一新，
