 創建於1776年，Louis Roederer一世早在1833年繼承這酒莊，至今仍由同一家族所擁有，是目前少數還維持家族獨立經營的知名香檳廠。如今，第七代傳人Frederic Rouzaud 負責經營，仍沿用追求極致品質不變的釀酒哲學傳統，提供每年三百多萬瓶香檳給一百多個國家，成為頂尖的世界性品牌。

目前擁有240公頃的葡萄園，分有410個地塊。生產七款:Brut Premier、Brut Vintage、Brut Rosé、Blanc de Blancs、Carte Blanche，旗艦產品Cristal、Cristal Rosé。

種植在Reims山區的葡萄園面朝東北向，故成熟較慢。這款經過木桶中的陳化時間，精緻與濃郁的個性顯著加強。葡萄比例為70%Pinot noir和30%Chardonnay混釀而成，其中有37%在木桶中每週攪動一次釀成。在大木桶中平均陳釀4年後除雜渣後再存放6 個月，以達到完美的成熟度。糖分含量為每升9克。
