Sena酒廠是由伊拉蘇酒廠的主人Eduardo Chadwick Errazuriz先生與美國加州羅伯蒙岱維酒廠Robert Mondavi先生兩人合作而產生的智利頂級夢幻酒廠。

Robert Mondavi在1985年第一次前往智利時，深刻的體會到智利是一個擁有釀造絕佳葡萄酒無限潛力的國家。而在1991年時，他遇到醉心釀造智利佳釀的伊拉蘇酒廠主人Errazuriz，在分享了彼此對於葡萄酒的熱忱及釀酒哲學之後，他們決定合作並在1995年推出首要年分。Sena在西班牙文的意思就叫做“簽名(signature)”，這個名稱代表了兩個家族共同的自我風格和經驗氣質，在酒標上，更可以看到兩個酒廠主人的簽名。

In the last edition of Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, Seña 2010 earned the highest score in the report, with 94 points; making it the most highly praised Chilean Bordeaux Blend for the fifth consecutive vintage.

Blind Tastings: Seña at the Top!

In 2004, Eduardo Chadwick, proud of his wine, wanted to evaluate how well it could be appreciated in comparison with very high level wines. He organised a blind Tasting in Berlin with Seña, Lafite, Margaux, Latour and Solaia, cult wine from Italy… Thirty-six of Europe’s most highly regarded wine journalists, writers and merchants ranked Seña 2001 in 2nd position (before Lafite 2000 and Margaux 2001) and Seña 2000 in 5th position (before Margaux 2000, Latour 2000 and 2001)…

Elected winemaker of the year 2011

In recognition of his professional background, of the quality of the wines he has crafted and brought to international attention (Seña and other wines from Errazuriz) and for pushing the frontiers of the Aconcagua Valley toward the coast in order to obtain the surprisingly cool climate wines that make up Viña Errazuriz’s Aconcagua Costa line, Head Winemaker Francisco Baettig was awarded the distinction of 2011 Winemaker of the Year by the Chilean Circle of Food & Wine Writers.

Since that day, many similar blind tastings have been organised all around the world with positive results for Seña. In Hong Kong in 2010, Seña 2007 was ranked number 2 just after Margaux but before Lafite, Haut Brion, Sassicaia and Tignanello 2007.

By the end of 2011, a Seña Vertical Tour had been organised in Asia in order to evaluate the ageing potential of Seña in a blind tasting against some Bordeaux flagship wines. The results were impressive:
